About Peter Petroff – Osteopath
Clinical Background and Training:
I am a registered osteopath at Cornerstone Osteopathy, with qualifications from Victoria University including a Bachelor of Science (Osteopathy) and a Master of Health Science (Osteopathy).
Before becoming an osteopath, I worked as a remedial massage therapist in private practice and with professional sporting organisations, including the Western Bulldogs and Melbourne Storm. This background provided a strong foundation in manual therapy, movement, and rehabilitation, and continues to inform my clinical approach. I have also completed advanced training in dry needling.
Areas of Clinical Interest:
Clinically, I have a particular interest in the management of neck, back, and hip pain, as well as supporting people to return confidently to movement and daily activities through thoughtful rehabilitation.
Approach to Care:
My approach to care is shaped by both clinical training and personal experience. Having previously managed my own ACL injury and chronic knee pain, I understand how persistent pain can affect daily life and confidence. For this reason, I place a strong emphasis on careful assessment, clear explanations, and treating the whole person rather than isolated symptoms.
What to Expect in Appointments:
Appointments are unhurried and collaborative. I take time to listen, explain findings clearly, and work with you to develop a plan that supports recovery while encouraging independence and long-term self-management.
